This course is designed to provide students with the basic knowledge and skills related to the television broadcasting industry. This includes instruction and hands-on assignments in the following areas: camera operation, audio systems, lighting systems, pre-production, studio operations, control room operations, visual effects and graphics, and copyright laws.

Students will acquire the basic skills in the art of filmmaking, related vocabulary, the media’s effects on society, and will gain an appreciation for the artistic and technical aspects behind the camera. Students will write scripts, film videos, edit using Adobe Premiere Pro, add some special effects, graphics and titles. If you want to be a YouTube influencer this is the class to start with, in filming and editing creative content.

This course is designed for students who want to further enhance their photographic knowledge and abilities. It is an application of the skills learned in Basic Digital Photography with an emphasis on professional jobs and assignments used in commercial photography. A portfolio of each student's work is expected at the end of the course.

Students will learn advanced techniques in Adobe Illustrator,
InDesign and Photoshop as well as create design projects with real clients.

This advanced level course is designed to provide students with the advanced knowledge and skills related to the television broadcasting industry. This includes instruction and hands-on assignments in the following areas: camera operation, audio systems, lighting systems, pre-production, studio operations, control room operations, visual effects and graphics, and copyright laws.

This class is an intensive workshop experience in which students are involved in the pre-production, production and post-production process of filmmaking. This course includes lectures, demonstrations and labs that lead toward a final project where each student will plan, shoot, and edit a 5-minute movie. The learning for this class is divided into the following three areas:
- Demonstrations, reading, written assignments and critiquing classic films.
- Learning camera techniques, lighting, sound and editing including special effects
- Lab projects and final film projects
Prerequisite: Digital Photography 1
